 Revelation
Saturday, 13 February 2010
When we covered chapters 4-5 of Revelation we were introduced to the songs of worship being offered in Heaven by the angels and saints, and even by all the creatures on earth. Here is a contemporary worship song based on the text of Revelation 4-5. It is much more expressive than we're probably used to as Catholics, but it is beautiful example of offering everything, body and soul, to the Lord in worship.

Wow that was wonderful. It is my favorite song and favorite way to worship. That song makes me feel like I am in heaven at God's feet! Blessings!

Powerful video! Probably my all-time favorite worship song! I play the Jim Cowan version in the car all the time. I cherish and crave this form of worship, and actively seek out weekend conferences within a 2-3 hour drive time to praise God -- conferences where EVERYONE is there for the same reason and everyone FULLY participates -- where the masses are like being in Heaven. I hope one day the Baltimore Archdiocese would sponsor a conference (the Filipinos did). Thanks for posting this link.

Amen! What a joy! This is the type of song that you can carry in your heart all day. Several of Michael's songs echo the book of Revelation. He certainly honors God in his music. Did you notice in the video that over half of the time is given over to the people in the crowd singing? Michael did not need to orchestrate the experience -- God did!

Watching this video yesterday and reading the various posts echoed in my mind as I prepared for Mass this evening. I think it helped me to open myself up more freely and give myself over to God and allow him to work in me. It was pretty awesome!!!!! So anyway, thanks Father Arnold for doing this...I look forward to the chance to interact with people throught the week!

What if all of our Masses were like this video...everyone so focused and entered in completely to the worship of our incredible and awesome God? How powerful! p.s. If you are new to Michael W. Smith.. check out other songs.. he is so gifted and he uses his gifts to bring people to God!
