Respect Life Committee

Respect Life - from conception to natural death

What is Respect Life About?

Unborn

"Our Catholic Faith teaches us to see Christ in everyone, even the least of our brothers and sisters. Therefore as Catholics we respect and protect human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death..." -- The Archdiocesan Respect Life Committee Mission Statement

The mission of the Archdiocesan Respect Life Committee is to assist parishes, Catholic elementary and high schools, pro-life organizations and institutions and individuals in their efforts to foster reverence for all human life.

The members of the Respect Life Committee strive to meet the goals of fostering reverence for all human life through many activities offered locally and nationally.

What's Happening?

A Young Family

"40 Days For Life" will be starting on February 22!

OLPH has committed to "prayerful presence" on Friday afternoons at the Hillcrest clinic. You can sign up on-line here at the volunteer calendar or get in touch with Teresa Jeschke. Our "prayerful presence" at the Hillcrest clinic is changing and saving lives...come be a part of that!

100,000 Rosaries for the Unborn

100,000 Rosaries for the Unborn The Archdiocese of Baltimore, in collaboration with the Knights of Columbus in Maryland, the Archdiocese of Washington, and the Diocese of Wilmington, is soliciting pledges to have 100,000 rosaries prayed in the month of March, 2012 to eliminate abortion in our state and our nation, and to pray for the families of those children who have been aborted.

There are some 37,000 children aborted in Maryland each year – more than 700 per week. This is a rate that is 50% higher than the national average. While direct action to eliminate this killing is necessary, it must be accompanied by prayer. Can you pray four or five rosaries (only one per week) over the course of a month? A pledge sheet will be available after all Masses on the weekend of Feb. 18. You may also pledge online at Maryland Rosary Campaign.
